Safe to say that November has been busy as it's taken me until almost Thanksgiving to publish this post. Oops! Anyway, a brown, camel, khaki, taupe window with a few hits of green and navy was the obvious choice for November. I'm so in love with the fur vest from Suprema (retailed locally by our friends at Monelle) that I'm wearing in this month's window shoot. It fits like a large in my opinion although there is no size listed, but if it was closer to an XL, well you'd have never seen it featured as it would have been mine. The stunning White + Warren cashmere sweater I chose to wear for the shoot was scooped up in person by a lucky lady this past weekend. Our cashmere rack is so full though, you're bound to find something wonderful out of the nearly 100 items.
You might notice that there is only one little Pom in this month's photo and that is only because Mija was at the vet on the day Maddie came to shoot. I know some of you might be worried to now just see Margo in a photo without her little sister. It's almost hard to believe that the fall weather is finally here to stay, especially considering I remember overheating while taking this photo back at the start of the month.
Now that it is finally cooling off, we are excited for sweaters, layered looks and outerwear! This month's window features a fun fair isle sweater dress from Free People which would be perfect styled with tall boots. I'm happy to see taller boots coming back into fashion, and we have some good ones. The next dress is vintage Missoni and needs no introduction. Next to it, in the center window spot, is a true vintage find from Simon Ellis, which fits approximately like a current day size 6 that I knew had to be in a fall window display the second it was submitted for consignment. These vintage Ralph Lauren Black Label cargo pants just scream fall fashion to me and I paired them with a classic polo type top from James Perse in a slightly deeper color for a tone on tone look. The last item in the front window is the ideal Thanksgiving dress from Polo Ralph Lauren, classic but not fussy. Who doesn't love a shirtdress?!
Without even listing the two smaller side windows, I am already sensing two trends that I already know to be true about styles I love for fall: Ralph Lauren and Vintage.
We are currently planing and preparing for our exciting sales and specials all Thanksgiving weekend long. I'm not sure how many views this little blog is getting these days since I'm not doing a very good job at promoting it so with a week left until Black Friday, I think here is a good place to put a sneak peak of what our weekend specials will be!
