Window Shop - October 2024

It's definitely autumn around here and our October window is inspired by the changing leaves by the sea: orange, yellow, red and the deep blues the bay appears this time of year. In the photo above (taken by our favorite Maddie Van) I'm wearing the cutest red lady jacket style cardigan from Loft [L]. My new favorite jeans are the 70s high rise flare from Gap, purchased here at wish earlier this fall. They're similar to some of my first designer jeans of the mid-2000s, but these are a much much higher rise, and although full length, I don't anticipate letting them drag under my heels until the hem tears off like I did the last time flares were on trend and I was in high school. I paired them with these fun chunky clogs by Andre Assous [9] that came into the shop in like new condition and are so in style this season, complete with cozy shearling under the toes. Their camel color matches the quilted Michael Kors shoulder bag perfectly.

Some other favorites featured in this month's window are (from left to right) a stunning orange CK Bradley Annabelle Maxi Dress [S], Madewell Denim Midi Skirt [29] paired with a wool and cashmere La Linge Marin Sweater [S] , a beautiful floral midi skirt and blouse set from Misa LA [L], J.Crew Wide Leg Sailor Pants [10] paired with a Pussy Bow Geometric Blouse from UK company Hawes & Curtis Fitted [10], a floral smocked back midi dress from a past Rhode collaboration for Target [XXL]. The interior left window features 3 outfits: the yellow midi skirt in vintage, I think handmade from the 1970s [XS] with a fan favorite perfect red-orange La Maillie Sezane Cardigan [L], a Jersey Wrap Dress new with tags by Boden [8], and a fun orange lace Diane von Furstenberg dress [6]. In the right hand window we chose a Sheer Floral Midi Dress by Free People [XS], the cutest little mini wish children's dress from Bailey Boys and a a Cashmere Striped Pullover Sweater from Tory Burch [XS]. On our brave girl out on the step, we chose a Velvet Boden Skirt [2] with a perfect match orangeish-red J.Crew Merino Wool Teddie Sweater [S], a little Silk Neck Scarf by Tory Burch and a Cortland Park Down Jacket on top [XS].

Anyway, I was able to choose many different sizes for our window display this month and do hope you'll find something! I'm always happy to answer any fit or fabric questions you may have! xo Kate
